Florida-based perfume executive Ken Wessel possesses more than five decades of experience in the cosmetic and personal care industries. Ken Wessel led his perfume company for 20 years and is a former member of the Personal Care Products Council and the International Fragrance Association (IFRA).

In response to growing concerns about the environment, the IFRA launched an official initiative dedicated to promoting sustainable practices within the perfume industry and beyond. The IFRA is in a unique position to influence the cultivation of raw materials as well as the processing and development of consumer end-products. By collaborating with companies in the flavor industry, the IFRA aims to prioritize sustainability throughout their supply chains and manufacturing processes.

In this way, the IFRA can lead the charge to promote sustainable practices in a wider range of industries, including personal care products, household goods, and processed foods. Since commencing the initiative, the IRFA has led projects in raw material producing countries such as Haiti, Laos, and Madagascar.
